Thursday, April 8, 2021 Today our son and daughter in law are returning from a 21 day trip over 225 miles on the Colorado River. And their big white dog Cassie will be going home with them tomorrow. Banjo has fallen so in love with her I’m afraid he’s going to be quite sad when she leaves. Of course he has Belle to console him. Belle has been a little jealous so she’ll be quite OK with having her boy back. lol And Cassie will be back to visit I’m sure.
Meanwhile we’re searching for more hay to get us through the season. We finished the big bale and planned to get more yesterday but he’s out of town til next week. ugh Not to worry, hay is out there, it’s just not easy to get it here. So most projects are on hold until we get the hay issues taken care of. Happy Thursday! stay well~

Love the picture! Is Cassie an Akbash Dog? She looks like the livestock guard we had years ago. We’ve had issues with not having enough hay this year too. We’ve been using round bales, one at a time, to supplement our waning squares. I enjoy your blog.

Cassie was born into a LGD situation in the mountains here and left the sheep for the city life. lol. The shepherd who had her said she likes people too much. (she was wandering the streets and ended up here) So she definitely has potential for Akbash, she’s probably a mix. Sweetest girl ever, but she does love to bark at night! Thanks for reading the blog!
