Sunday November 29, 2020 The house is slowly returning to quiet as family members find their way back home after a lovely gathering time. To isolate in the ranch bubble is not a problem for any of us. We ran no errands, we saw no one, but we appreciated each other all the more. Two cars left packed full of alpaca “beans” for wintering gardens and I got a lot of beans picked up! yay! We moved the hot tub to a new home in Salt Lake City and the copper wire left from the connections gave a certain 10 year old hours of creative play. We all got handcrafted rings of copper, and Belle got new spectacles. We also took advantage of the strong backs in the family to reinforce some fencing problems that Blue made us aware of and now it seems we are pretty secure. So you might see the alpacas along Lower River Road again until snow makes that too challenging. Happy Sunday – stay well~

This could be the beginning of something special for your grandson. My neighbor’s brother is a wire sculptor and he creates amazing things. It all began when he drove by a field with a “ball” of barbed wire. He asked the owner what it was for and when the owner said nothing, he gave it to him. Since then he has done sculptures of all sizes and recently made me a small tabletop bluebird. He crafted an owl for my neighbor’s tree and I still have that moment when I think it is a live owl perched in the tree. My daughter is also a professional bronze sculptor working in Cincinnati. I am always amazed by any artist’s talent of conceptualizing an abstract and making it into something concrete! Just like you, Linda! Good luck to the boy. He is truly special!

Wonderful! He also just built a small forge in his back yard and has crafted me a hay hook out of rebar he found. It’s amazing to watch his passions develop.
