Thursday November 19, 2020 If ever there was a time that I wish I could share this space, it’s now. And if ever there was a time that it’s not safe to do so, its now. I find it a little surprising, but people are traveling to Park City for Thanksgiving and Christmas and wanting to book farm tours. “It’s outside” they think, “it’s safe!” Well believe it or not, I don’t think it’s safe. We did a few tours this summer and people find it very hard to maintain a 6 foot distance when they get excited about meeting alpacas. Some people thought kids didn’t need to wear masks and others left their noses hanging out because it’s more comfortable that way. So I made the tough decision to be closed. No farm tour is worth us getting sick. In Utah the positivity rate last week was 24.1 percent. Utah’s rolling seven-day average number of positive cases per day is now at 3,161. So we’re playing it safe so that we’ll be healthy and ready to have visitors again when this is all behind us. Stay well~
Photo of the day: That face. ❤️ My baby Blue. He wishes we could have visitors too. Some day we will Blue.

I think you are making the right decision, Linda.
Linda
Thanks Gigi.

Linda, it is a tough decision but totally the right thing. The mask wearing is so important – it protects the wearer AND the people around them. 6 ft apart between non-family members is also important. It is hard/ inconvenient/ and a bother — but the results are worth it. This won’t be forever.

Thanks Cathy.

We look forward to safer times too. We’ve been talking about a visit to your ranch for a year now and will wait a little longer to keep everyone safe. Until then, we will enjoy your daily posts and pictures!
