Monday August 31, 2020 Today I’ll be bringing Romulus over to see the girls again to check pregnancies. We used to send in blood samples to the lab, and occasionally do ultrasounds, but I’ve found that behavior is just as accurate if not more so than those methods. One look at him approaching and if she’s pregnant, she’ll spit. The close he gets, the more she’ll spit. Perfect. I will not wear my favorite shirt.
We are hearing frost warnings for tonight at our elevation. This is why gardening is such a challenge at 6500 feet. My tomatoes are just starting to ripen, but no worries, this year I planted them in a big container on a wagon, so into the garage they’ll go tonight. At least that’s the plan. stay well~
Photo of the day: The house gang getting close together just in case it really gets cold tonight. (Of course they’ll be inside)

With all the technological advances I love that good old spitting is still reliable!

Yay! I’ve been waiting for some pregnancy updates. You know that I love those pregger bellies and lil crias! I can’t wait to hear who you decided to breed this year.

Tomatoes on wheels??? Why didn’t I think of that? I didn’t try tomatoes but my zucchini are finally starting to produce a few. I’ll be covering them with a sheet. Glad some of the girls are pregnant!
