Wednesday July 15, 2020 The guardian dogs are an integral part of the operation here and we could not be without them. But occasionally their barking at night robs us of sleep. <yawn> It’s how they work, it’s what they do. I would always rather hear a dogs warning bark than an alpaca screaming. So I’ll take a nap if I’m falling asleep at the wheel. I could tell from the type of barking that it was an intruder near the ranch, not too close (barking is different for that) but whatever it was wasn’t leaving. So the barking continued. As it must. <yawn> I thought of going out to check, but my night vision and sense of smell is not even close to theirs and I would probably have stirred up the activity even more. So I let them do their job and after a few hours it was quiet again. Thanks guys for keeping us safe. <yawn> Stay well~
Photo of the day: Just doing our job Mom. Blue and Chief, Charlotte was being camera shy.
Blue on top getting a hug from Chief? Whatever, these 2 have a sweet friendship.
