Friday July 10, 2020 I’ve been noticing an abundance of bones all over the alpaca girl’s pasture. Did I really put that many bones out for the dogs? We do feed raw bones a lot, but something seemed off. Then I noticed Blue coming back from the new pasture with a femur bone in his mouth. Ahhh then I figured it out. A cow died on that property a few years ago, (before we had access) and the grass hid the skeleton from our eyes, but Blue’s nose found the treasure. He’s sharing with Chief and Charlotte of course. For the record, never feed cooked bones to a dog, raw is fine. These bones are pretty dried out, so I’m watching them carefully, but for now Blue thinks he hit the jackpot!
