Rocky’s Story

Saturday May 30, 2020  Old habits die hard. I find myself looking at the bellies of the moms to check for kicking babies this time of year. But there will be no babies this year. And then I remember the day Rocky was born and why I decided for sure, no babies in 2020. If you want to remember with me, the post is here. We’ve had easy birth years and tough ones. Breeding is not for the fainthearted! And I decided a year off might be a good idea.  Romulus and Stetson (the studs I’d use) both hope that I’ll decide to have a few babies in 2021. We’ll see. The jury is still out on that one. But I’m grateful every time I see Rocky – grateful for the friends that came to help, grateful for the vet who saved him and his mom and grateful that he had such a fighting spirit.  Click for Rocky’s Story.
