Friday May 22, 2020 We have some cold nights coming so all the hanging baskets of flowers we bought have been temporarily relocated to the garage. When it’s predicted to be 28° overnight in Woodland, we’ll always be a few degrees colder here, and that would kill any annual in bloom. This is also why it’s so hard to garden without a green house at this elevation. So we grow fleeces instead! lol The plan for tomorrow is to have some friends over to help finish the fencing around the new property so the dogs can be with the alpacas whenever they are over there. It’s alpaca proof now and hopefully dog proof soon. For now I’m hoping that snow I see in the forecast is wrong! Glad the alpacas ares still wearing their fleeces and wont feel the cold at all. stay well~
Photo of the day: Venezia, aka Zia flashes a Mona Lisa smile as she chills out in the barn. It’s rare to see the concrete floor exposed here, but we’re prepping for shearing day!
