Wednesday May 20, 2020 The alpacas have learned that at least once a day, I’ll open the gate and they get to eat the fresh grass of the new acreage. You know what is funny? They like it so much, they won’t poop there. I kid you not, they line up at the gate to come back and it’s a mad rush to the pooping areas in the main pasture. It’s a bit maddening when I had just cleaned up those spots, but I guess in the big picture it will be easier to maintain if they keep the beans on this side of the fence. lol I see many cars stop on the road to watch them when they are over closer to the road and I’m glad that can happen. I might put a few chairs over there and start ranch tours that way when we decide to reopen! Kind of like sitting in Jurassic park for an hour? Well, all my ideas start with a thought, and for now it’s just a thought. Sadly, 8 people died yesterday from the virus in Utah so no, we are not quite ready for tourists yet. After June 1, we have a few decisions to make and I’ll post it here on the blog first. Til then – stay well~
