Monday April 20, 2020 Well our puppy boys finally had their play date. We wanted to be sure that Blue knew his place was with the guardian dogs and the alpacas and we also wanted to be sure that Banjo didn’t try to follow me out into the pasture when I was working with the alpacas. I felt comfortable they both knew where they belonged so let’s try to have them play together. We picked the front yard, more neutral than the back yard which is too close to the alpacas. It worked beautifully, they ran and wrestled for almost an hour tiring each other out while I fed the alpacas. Belle was on a walk with Ed so the two pups got to have the whole time just for puppy play. Success! Enjoy the photos and please …stay well~

Blue is so sweet…he realizes that he is bigger and lets his brother win! Love your pictures.

Does Blue always sleep in the barn? Even at night time? Do the big dogs protect him and keep him warm?
Linda
Hi Brianne, Blue does sleep in the barn at night. He will eventually be patrolling the farm at night, so there would not be much point in getting him used to sleeping in the house. He has a “private suite” inside the barn and a heat lamp keeps him warm if he needs it. He coat is really all he needs though, and I usually find him far away form the heat lamp. The adult dogs and often alpacas are near him too.

That’s good. He is getting so big and soo cute
