Wednesday February 26, 2020 We call it puppy fever and I’ve had a bad case for a while. Actually I think I’ve had a mild case my whole life but it does escalate from time to time. The only real way to cure puppy fever is of course to get a puppy. And so we did. We are NOT replacing our dear old Jack, because Jack is irreplaceable, just like every other dog we’ve shared our lives with and we still miss him every day. I could explain the many reasons why we are adding this particular boy to the family but trust me I’ve searched for months (yes even before we lost Jack) and looked at rescue dogs and this is the one. We’ll pick him up Saturday and by that time we should know his name, a topic of hot debate around the house right now. (so much better than politics!!!). Prepare for a deluge of Bernese Mountain Dog puppy photos! In case you wondered, Belle went along with us to meet him and she 100% approves.
