Sunday December 15, 2019 The birds are the best weather forecasters! Well I guess you might need to have a bird feeder for them to share their wisdom, but they do know when it’s going to be a real storm. There were hundreds of them crowded around the feeder all morning telling us to expect serious snow most of the day. And it snowed and it snowed and it snowed. I had considered a holiday open house for yesterday but we had too many other things going on to do it right, and I think it was wise to cancel it. We’re doing private tours and selling items on line instead. A better plan considering the weather yesterday! Stay warm and feed the birds! Happy Sunday!

WOW! I love my birdfeeders and enjoy seeing all kinds of feathered friends, plus a few furry squirrels too. Yesterday I was working outside and heard the lovely call of the sandhill cranes. I looked up and saw a group of maybe 30 or 40 high above me flying south. Always magical.

Oh I LOVE the sandhill cranes. They’re long gone from here and we’ll be excited to hear them again in the spring.:)
