Wednesday October 30, 2019 They’re calling it Octoburrrr or Janutober. Whatever you want to call it it’s insanely cold out there. 5 below zero currently on our thermometer! I served “tea” (warm water) in the barn last night to warm all the bellies and they slurped it down several times before I left. So of course I kept filling it. I have an electric kettle out there and I add hot water to a 5 gallon bucket of cold water so it’s just warm enough. The barn floor heat has been turned on and as long as they stay in there, they’ll be fine. Chief and Charlotte however think this is perfectly fine weather! Hoping for a warming trend later this week – I haven’t finished my fall chores!
