Saturday September 14, 2019 We’re scheduled for a perfect weather day today and since my health is returning I guess it’s time I face the messy pastures that I have had to ignore. We sold most of our aged compost pile this summer to a landscaper, so I do need to replenish the piles and that will start today. Anywhere I see a week area in the pasture or the barn yard I’ll toss s shovel or two as well. Mother Nature does not like bare ground and she’ll have weeds take over to make her point.
The tweener boys are now in one of the back pastures and a few of the bigger boys will join them today. This is their transition week and soon we’ll have one big boy herd. Even with the 4 new additions this year, our females still outnumber the males so I guess all is well Happy Saturday!
