Saturday August 31, 2019 I am outside almost every night just as it gets dark to check on all the animals. The 3 cats usually show up then for some food and the dogs get a late night biscuit. And I make sure all the babies are near their moms. Having guardian dogs with them at night means I can allow them to sleep wherever they choose. And I’m pretty sure the moms would of course find their babies on their own, but it’s just what I do. I say “Mamas! Find your babies!” And they all look up and call their babies! It’s just a soft hum, but each baby knows his own moms voice and they all know where each other are before it gets much darker. Just thought I’d share one little part of my routine that I’m enjoying these days.
Photo of the day: In 10 minutes, it will be too dark to see, but now’s the time to locate your family! 🙂
