Sunday August 11, 2019 The first five days in a cria’s life are the most critical. Our little fighter Rocky is on day 5 today. Yesterday he was a bit flat, seemed confused and very tired. I offered him a bottle many times but he had no interest. His weight stayed the same so of course I was concerned. But last night I felt something change, he became more enthusiastic about nursing from his mom, and she was standing more to allow it. It’s been so hard for Marcella to get up and down, I know Rocky’s milk intake was not what it should be. I’m hoping for a weight gain today and continued healing for Marcella. Meanwhile the other two baby boys are doing great. Happy Sunday!
