Wednesday July 17, 2019 A wonderful creek runs through Blue Moon Ranch and is one of the many reasons I was first drawn to this magical property. It gives the alpacas a way to stay cool in the summer, it provides the water to irrigate our pastures to keep them green, and we’ve spent hours searching for the brown trout that we’ve seen swimming here. Our grandkids have played in it, I’ve cooled my feet in there on a hot summer day and the sound of the water rushing over the boulders will smooth the ragged edges of your soul if you sit and listen. When we have our Open Barn events, I always leave two chairs by the creek for that reason. I think I’ll call today creek appreciation day. :). Happy Wednesday!
