Wednesday June 26, 2019 You might be wondering why haven’t the little boys been moved out of the female pasture yet. Mostly because I am a big softie. After shearing day, Rowdy couldn’t find his mom for a few minutes and he was in an absolute panic. The sweetest thing ever was when he found her and she let him nurse and all was well with the world again. He is the youngest of the 3 and I decided to keep an eye on teenage behavior in these guys and let Rowdy have a few more weeks with his mama. I need to get a “private suite” for them built in the boys barn and I’ll start working on that soon. And when I think they’re ready to handle it, I’ll move them. Before anyone feels the need to let me know about stories of 9 month old boys impregnating females, I’ve heard them all and it’s extremely rare. I’ll take my chances and indulge my baby boys for a few more weeks. 🙂
