Wednesday January 16, 2019 The fleeces are looking great this year, well the adults any way. The babies have way more hay in theirs than I’d like but we do not “tip shear” our babies. Our nights are cold all year long and I think they need all of their fleece to thrive in this environment. So those super fine tips pick up every bit of hay that comes near it. I’ll be skirting them for hours after shearing day but they are so soft, it’s with the effort. It’s a snow day here today and I hope to get the dye pots simmering again. Happy Wednesday!
Photo of the day: Lincoln doesn’t mind the snow one bit, thanks to the lovely fleece he’s been growing.
