Friday October 19, 2018 He set a new record for the longest gestation at our ranch at 399 days. That’s one year, one month and 3 days, or a very long time for his mom to be pregnant! It was also the first labor I’ve induced; we had a vet induce one of our girls about 16 years ago and since then we’ve let nature take it’s course. But I believe intervention was required for this situation. Of course I’m talking about Rowdy and I think we also picked the perfect name! He confidently plays with the other older babies like he is one of them and at the same time he’s very agreeable to my handling him when I examine his fleece, which is just lovely. I’d say this one was worth waiting for. 💛
