Saturday July 14, 2018 Well the babies have their names. The gray boy from Minnie and Silver Lake will be called Harry Potter. The fawn girl from Allegra and Romulus will be called Ramona and the beige girl from Marcella and Romulus will be called Claire. Literature names if you will, 🙂 I do love to read. Harry Potter is obvious, I’ll let you figure out which books the girls’ names came from. Now for a little worrisome news, I was afraid we were losing Claire yesterday. She never quite got the nursing thing down and as the day went on she got weaker and weaker. She was flat out by late afternoon except when I’d pick her up and worrying both me and her mother. Marcella’s udder was quite engorged and Claire was running a fever. Not good. I started her on penicillin as a last resort with some Vit B shots. I hate antibiotics, especially in very young ones but I didn’t want to lose her so I had to try something. She was so weak she could barely suck the bottle I offered. I was out with her until I could no longer see in the dark, and prayed for a miracle all night. Well she’s still with us this morning and I think I saw her nursing just now. Please send good thoughts that she will continue to thrive and join the other babies in their playtime soon. Thanks.
