Tuesday July 3, 2018 Our hay has been cut and will cure for a few days, then it will be baled and we’ll get it delivered and stacked next weekend if all goes well. As much as we’d love some rain, not now please! It needs to cure in the sun with no rain to delay the baling. Our winter hay is grown about a mile from here so it’s very similar to what the herd grazes on and I’m lucky that the farmer saves his entire crop for us! We’re also lucky to have some local help to stack it. Ed and I can tell stories of how hard we’ve worked to get our hay in but now we are happy to leave that to a younger crew! Happy Tuesday!
