Monday May 21, 2018 Next on our agenda will be shearing day. And then we’ll start the waiting for babies game. Since we had no babies born last year I’m ready and excited to have some arrive this year. I’ve been calling my local dairy farmer to get some fresh colostrum to have ready for emergencies and haven’t been able to reach him yet so that becomes a priority this week. Our first babies are “due” June 15, but if you’ve followed us for a while you know that alpacas rarely deliver on due dates. They have their own timetable and my job is to watch for signs of impending births. I’m ready! Happy Monday!
