Friday April 20, 2018 If you’ve ever visited Blue Moon Ranch you know the first to greet you will be at least 2 of the 3 white dogs we employ here. They are the amazing guardians of this place and all who live here. And may God help you if you walk in and don’t belong here! They enjoy visitors when we’re home but not so much when we’re away or at night. The two in the GIF below are both rescues and have found a perfect fit with their jobs here. They are very serious about protecting the herd and love to have a job. I’d even go so far as to say they need a job. Charlotte (standing) was in a pet home and it was not working out for her, and Chief (on his side) was left by the shepherds after he had been protecting sheep in the nearby mountains. Abby, our older girl is in semi-retirement but does not want to abandon her post so we just love her as she is. They are the reason I can sleep at night and they earn every bit of the yummy food they eat here.
Photo of the day: A love filled wrestling match happens most days right after lunch with Chief and Charlotte.

I love your dog, Chief. He was so sweet and friendly when we attended one of your Fall Open Barn days.
