Thursday, July 6, 2017 I really can’t complain about the heat since we are at least 10 degrees cooler here than most of Utah. Yesterday I drove to Salt Lake City and the thermometer in my car registed 107°. yikes! (it was 84° when I left the ranch, about the same when I got home) I usually spend the morning hours doing computer work and the afternoon outside but when it’s so hot, I get the outside chores done early. Alpacas have fans in the barn and access to the creek so they really are fine. Evening temps are usually in the 50’s here so we all recover nicely as we get ready for another hot day. ☀️
Photo of the day: Most of our fleece sweepings from shearing day are keeping this lovely garden near Salt Lake City moist and cool during extreme heat.
