Monday, January 25, 2016 On occasion, usually close to a full moon, the guardian dogs bark A LOT at night. But when they do that, we know they are working. If a cougar is prowling nearby, they know it and will do everything possible to deter it from coming closer. That mostly involves barking. And more barking. They would rather not have a confrontation face to face, so that is how they work. After we convince the inside dogs that they do not need to be involved, we eventually get some sleep. I like to think of the guardians’ barking as my lullaby. 💤 Happy Monday!
Photo of the day: Handsome Chief and his “sister wives” work very hard to keep us all safe here.
Somebody else works hard here too. 😉
