Sunday May 18, 2014 It worked! Our first ever Spring open barn day was a success. We tried a new system with people walking on self guided tours in specific areas next to the alpacas all the way to the far back pasture. The alpacas loved it, and the people did too. Every one said how relaxed the animals were. People still got to touch some of the braver alpacas who came right up to the fence and the shyer ones felt safe and secure all day, wandering back to the barn as they wanted to. We had a decent size crowd and heard not one complaint about the new system, but many said how nice it was to be that close to the alpacas. Color me happy! Thanks so much to everyone who came!
Photo of the day: I think she’s having a good time, and those alpacas liked it too. (Thanks to her mom for posting this on our Facebook page so I had a photo for today!)
One more photo of a family enjoying a beautiful day at Blue Moon Ranch. Thanks for the photo Ma Dewberry!
