I saw the offer for Mercedes and Romeo today and wanted to post a note telling anyone considering it that this would be one of the finest alpaca foundation dams and potential herdsire they could possibly want.  I’ve bought from Snowmass, I go to the shows, I look over every auction catalog that is mailed here.  I also check the sales prices after the auction.  That Mercedes package deal IS a DEAL!!  You have Sienna’s first two girls, I have had two males and two females from her.  ALL champion genetics, ALL lasting fineness in their fleeces.  I just sold one of Snicker’s (Sienna and Teewinot’s son) sons a few weeks ago.  This boy, “Shiloh’s Teddy Twix” (I know, crazy name but I let my young alpaca handlers name him!) won a second last year at Norco against Renaissance Ridge boys in February.
His histogram came in at the May shearing at 18.7, 3.6, 19.0, 0.7.  Snickers (Seth) has the two crias coming
this spring and I’m expecting the same quality fiber.  Snicker’s fleece last year at 5 years old was 21.5, 4.6, 21.6, 4.8.
He is the favorite herdsire that I have for Kaylynn and Sharon.  And to top it off, he’s a sweet boy!  In case anyone
would be interested to know, Sienna’s histogram for 2013 at 12 years old was:  24.3, 4.4, 18.2, 7.3.  I don’t think I
will breed her anymore, I like seeing the longer fleece length but I will be her shepherd for the rest of her
deservedly well-cared for life.  Just FYI, Sienna’s last daughter, Espresso, who was sold to Bright Water Ranch had a 2013 histogram of 17.7, 3.4, 19.0, 1.1.
