Coping with grief

Wednesday February 21. 2018  So we’re finally serving “tea” (warm water) to all the animals outside and my goodness do they ever love it. By the time I get the hay feeders filled the 5 gallon bucket of steamy warm water is gone and I need to start it all over again. But I know that is what will keep them warm when it gets below 0 and it’s 2 below as I type.  I don’t mind being busy in the barn now  –  losing a beloved dog and a dear brother-in-law in 24 hours is hard to sit with for too long. so I stay busy and let it sink in a little at a time. Being around the animals is what helps me cope.

I am crying as I speak and type, Linda……how much more can we “all” take? I believe, I hope and I pray. Tell me when the healing starts? Mother was good yesterday and a mess today…just keep her on the prayer list. Bodie and all dogs, cats and Especially Alpacas are all good. Love to Ed and You….
