Imaginary dogs

Tuesday December 12, 2017  When I was a kid, I didn’t have imaginary friends, but I did have imaginary dogs.  I’d walk them down the street holding on to their imaginary leashes and I’d brush them carefully every day. My parents were great parents, but they just weren’t dog people.  My favorite TV shows were “Lassie” and “Rin Tin Tin”  (If you’re too young to know what I’m talking about, google it)  And if a neighbor had a dog, I’d find excuses to visit as often as I could.  Since I’ve been an adult I’ve always had dogs around me. Now having 3 working dogs outside and 4 in the house with me seems perfectly normal. I cannot be dogless, and that’s one of the reasons we have a 6 month old puppy in the house! Her latest thing is to take one shoe, or maybe my jeans out of the dirty clothes and drag them out the dog door to a place in the yard when she wants them. She also moves sticks and old bones inside to take their place. Hey, it’s better than not having a dog. 😉   Do what you love, love what you do. It’s always been my motto. Happy Tuesday.
