Sunday, June 12, 2016 It is with tears in my eyes and a very heavy heart that I must share with you a tragedy that happened here during our shearing day. We lost our beloved General Patton. It appeared that he had a stroke while waiting for his turn for shearing, It was about 65 degrees, so heat was not a problem, and from the symptoms when we saw his collapse, a stroke or aneurysm seems the likely cause. Many of us were with him, trying everything we could think of, but he left us quickly. I’m in shock still and will post more shearing day photos later.
