Thursday, January 7, 2016 Our snow has been minimal and today’s accumulation will be less than an inch. Perfect. Enough to freshen things up, but not enough to block the gates from opening. I hope to get some spinning time in today – it’s St Distaff’s day! Called St. Distaff’s Day because after the Christmas holidays ending on Twelfth Night the women proposed to resume their distaffs. (A distaff is a stick or spindle onto which wool or flax is wound for spinning) Share that little bit of history to impress your friends! LOL Happy Thursday!
