Tuesday, August 12, 2014 I brought a few males over yesterday to test the girls and my oh my did we have some spitting! Except for Smiley, who was acting pregnant up until a few days ago. Yesterday she got to have a date with Stetson. Some of the girls have dramatic behavior changes when they want to be pregnant and then again when they really are. They go from overly friendly to ‘don’t touch me’ in a few days. Although her behavior looks cute, it’s actually inappropriate for an alpaca. Her “friendliness” frightened one of our guests who chose to stay behind a fence.
Photo of the day: This is how we knew Smiley wasn’t pregnant any more! Let’s hope Stetson changed that status. 😉
