Wednesday, July 2, 2014 We have another new baby! Minnie started in labor about 10:00 a.m. and had her cria on the ground by 11:00. This was the one I was sure would be black, remember? But oh those color genetics in alpacas have a way of humbling me! Two solid jet black parents and a light brown vicuna colored baby! I love it! The only problem was that Minnie was also expecting a black baby (as her 8 previous ones have been) and didn’t accept him right away. He is gorgeous!
