Monday, June 23, 2014 No matter how many times I’ve witnessed births, I am awestruck every time of the miracles that abound in the process. That the mom can push this creature out of her body, that she knows it’s hers and loves it, that this baby who was cramped inside her body for almost a year can stand up with in an hour, miraculous. That this baby also knows to look for a dark place to find it’s milk, that the mom sniffs baby under the tail to be sure it’s hers… every time, that they soon become an inseparable pair, miraculous. I know too well it doesn’t always turn out perfectly, but when it does, it’s miraculous. Happy Monday!
